Mark A. Wirtz is a highly accomplished trial attorney who is able to master the facts and identify the issues early on in a case. This allows him to better represent his clients and get successful results at any stage of the proceedings. Mark is well respected with a strong and extensive background in both family and criminal courts. Prior to founding The Wirtz Law Firm, he was with Schiller, DuCanto and Fleck, the largest family law firm in the country, where his practice was concentrated in the litigation of complex family law matters. He repeatedly achieved favorable results for clients, eliciting comments like “Mark always goes way above and beyond,” “He is an asset to the profession” and “Mark is honorable, both professionally and personally.”
Prior to that, Mark spent eight years with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted crimes such as first degree murder, attempted murder, predatory criminal sexual assault, aggravated battery and reckless homicide. In addition, he worked on countless DUI cases, developing detailed knowledge in that area of criminal law. Mark tried 19 criminal cases to jury and conducted hundreds of bench trials and hearings on contested motions.
His significant experience before judges and juries means that his clients receive highly effective representation, thereby maximizing the opportunity for the most favorable outcome.
